The Sunday Table

About The Brand

The Sunday Table is a dining concept inspired by the familiarity and generosity of sharing a good meal. Rooted in the feeling of Sunday gatherings, the brand brings a sense of warmth and occasion into a contemporary dining experience.

The project focused on translating this idea into a distinctive brand identity that communicates the experience behind the name while establishing a recognisable visual presence across multiple touchpoints.

The objective was to create a brand that feels inviting without being predictable, expressive without being excessive, and polished without losing its warmth.

The Challenge

In a crowded food and hospitality landscape, visual distinction requires more than an attractive logo or a collection of food-inspired graphics. A compelling brand identity must communicate a clear idea, establish a recognisable character, and remain consistent wherever the brand appears.

For The Sunday Table, the challenge was to translate the emotional associations of shared dining which includes warmth, generosity, familiarity, and connection, into a visual language that could stand independently of the product itself.

The Creative Strategy

The creative direction centred on the rituals surrounding a shared meal, setting the table, serving food, and creating an atmosphere that makes people want to stay a little longer.

These references informed the development of an identity that balances familiarity with contemporary visual expression. Rather than relying solely on literal food imagery, the design draws from the objects and gestures associated with dining to create a more distinctive brand language.

This approach positions The Sunday Table around an experience, not merely a food offering.

Outcome

A scalable brand foundation: The identity is structured to accommodate future applications, from menus and takeaway packaging to promotional campaigns and additional branded touchpoints, without requiring a complete visual rethink. Greater consistency across the customer experience: The system provides a common visual framework for presenting the brand, helping different materials feel connected rather than independently designed.
